Vulkollan® for heavy-duty coupling components

Elastic couplings have to function as both drive and damping elements, transmitting the drive energy from a power generator to a machine with as little vibration as possible. This is a task for which Vulkollan®, whose capacity for storing mechanical work enables it to dampen both vibrations and impact, is ideally suited.

The ability to compensate for axial and radial wave motions is particularly important in this field. Offsetting the angular deviations of intersecting waves also helps to prevent premature wear and material damage. Another crucial point in Vulkollan®'s favour is that even small components made from this engineering elastomer can handle high torque and force transmission levels.

One last factor of particular importance in this branch of technology is Vulkollan®'s excellent resistance to mineral oils and greases.

All of which adds up to a level of performance marking Vulkollan® out as the ideal material for coupling and drive components.
